A photo journey in Jordan-
one of the most fascinating countries
of the Middle East –
between ancient cultures, silent desert landscapes, and genuine encounters

Jordan is a land of contrasts.

The silent expanse of the Wadi Rum desert.
The warm light on the facades of Petra.
The bustling life in the streets of Amman.
And time and again: encounters with people.

What makes our photo tour in Jordan special

  • Photography in the right light
Sunrises, sunsets, and night photography are a central part of the trip.

  • Time instead of speed
We deliberately stay longer in selected places –
to actually work, not just look.

  • Encounters & Closeness
Plans include, among other things, moments with local families
and insights into everyday life on the ground.

  • Small group
4–6 participants for a personal and intensive experience

  • Variety in a short time
Desert, ancient cities, sea, culture – all combined in one trip.

TRAVEL HIGHLIGHTS

  • Petra – the "Rose City"
We photograph the iconic facades and hidden spots early in the morning and in the golden evening light.

  • Petra by Night
A truly special moment: candlelight, silence, and an almost surreal atmosphere.

  • Wadi Rum – the desert
Jeep tours, a sunset camel ride, and night photography under one of the clearest starry skies.

  • Encounter with Bedouins
Insights into local life – authentic and respectful.

  • Dead Sea
Minimalist landscapes, tranquil images, distinctive lighting moods.

  • Jerash & Ajloun
Ancient architecture in the morning light and sweeping landscape views.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS (FAQ)

Here you will find answers to what many people want to know before the photo trip.

No, not at all. My tours are open to everyone - from intuitive smartphone snappers to experienced amateur photographers with full equipment. The only important thing is photography! Because in the end, we all learn from each other anyway - and that's what makes the trip unique.

What you have is enough. Whether smartphone, compact camera or DSLR - I'll show you how to get the best out of your equipment. If you're unsure, I'll be happy to advise you in advance.

Very small - usually only 4 to 6 participants. This allows me to respond to each participant individually and we remain flexible, personal and close to each other

Very relaxed and practical:
We take photos together "on the road", discuss pictures, collect ideas and I give you tips, feedback and tasks directly on location. There are also short joint sessions for image selection and post-processing

- Small groups, lots of personal support - Extraordinary destinations and encounters - Photography as expression - not just technique - Space for your own visual language and creativity

Before each trip, we meet online 1-2 times to get to know each other and coordinate our wishes. This creates a suitable concept - with the right mix of technology, storytelling, challenges and creative impulses.

I only offer 3 to 5 selected tours a year - deliberately exclusive. Because they should not only "run", but also remain special - for you and for me.

With pleasure!
Many participants travel alone - and enjoy the group, inspiration and real
connections.

My first professional trip for Brigitte magazine with Isabela as photographer only took us to Denmark, but it was still a challenge: Isabela had to spend a week in a motorhome with me, whom she didn't know, and my two daughters, who were still very young at the time, without any opportunity to retreat. It was on this trip that I got to know her wonderful human qualities: she is as uncomplicated as she is hands-on, can adapt to anyone (regardless of whether they are four or forty years old) and, above all, is a very pleasant and cheerful travel companion. We did many more travel reports together after that, Isabela was always my photographer of choice. I have always appreciated her great professionalism and how she manages to win people over with her friendly nature. At the same time, she never offends anyone and always remains respectful. And in the end, everyone had fun.

Traveling with Isabela is a great experience that we can only recommend. Thanks to her open and friendly manner, Isabela manages to find a very special approach to people. This leads to exciting encounters that provide new insights. Whether in Germany or on international trips: Isabela is perfectly organized and arranges her travel plans to strike just the right balance between a well-filled programme and enough time to relax and process the new experiences. As a photographer, Isabela impresses with her talent for scouting suitable locations, finding the right perspective and passing on her knowledge in a pleasant and warm manner. Under her guidance, even photography amateurs succeed in taking great pictures. In short: it's a pleasure to be out and about with Isabela.

In the fall of 2020, Isabela accompanied us on our trip to Swedish Lapland and captured this unique journey in great pictures. For me as an enthusiastic amateur photographer, it was great to be in front of the lens myself, but it was also a huge added value to have a real professional at my side. Many of the pictures of the trip were taken as a reportage from the background; Isabela knows how to integrate perfectly as part of the travel group and thus capture the "real" moments. But Isabela also came up with great ideas for motifs. The result was a great mix of pictures from the trip to Sweden.
