A photographic journey to the people, nature and stories of Madagascar.
Madagascar is one of the most fascinating places in the world. Between highland villages, rainforest, and small markets, images emerge that are characterized by a truly unique atmosphere.
A particular highlight of this trip is the meeting with Pierrot Men, an icon of Malagasy photography. Together with him, we discover places and stories that often remain hidden from ordinary travelers.
I will accompany you photographically throughout your entire journey and support you in transforming these special moments into expressive images.
Encounters, nature, and photographic stories
Madagascar is fascinating not only because of its extraordinary nature, but also because of the diversity of its cultures and people.
On this journey, we will take time for observation and encounters – in small villages, at markets, or at traditional craft workshops.
Besides the animal world with lemurs, chameleons and birds, the lives of people are the main focus of our photographic discoveries.
The small group of a maximum of six participants makes it possible to work flexibly and to experience special photographic situations intensively.
A particular highlight is our time with Pierrot Men, who gives us insights into his photographic work and his view of Madagascar.

This trip is aimed at people who enjoy photography and want to further develop their images – regardless of their technical level.
You can participate with a camera or smartphone.
During the trip, I will support you in becoming more aware of light, composition and the right moment, and in further developing your own photographic visual language.
More important than technology are curiosity, patience and openness to encounters with people and nature.

Many participants travel alone.
The small group size quickly creates a personal and relaxed atmosphere. Together we take photographs, exchange ideas, and experience the unique culture and nature of Madagascar in depth.

My first professional trip for Brigitte magazine with Isabela as photographer only took us to Denmark, but it was still a challenge: Isabela had to spend a week in a motorhome with me, whom she didn't know, and my two daughters, who were still very young at the time, without any opportunity to retreat. It was on this trip that I got to know her wonderful human qualities: she is as uncomplicated as she is hands-on, can adapt to anyone (regardless of whether they are four or forty years old) and, above all, is a very pleasant and cheerful travel companion. We did many more travel reports together after that, Isabela was always my photographer of choice. I have always appreciated her great professionalism and how she manages to win people over with her friendly nature. At the same time, she never offends anyone and always remains respectful. And in the end, everyone had fun.
Traveling with Isabela is a great experience that we can only recommend. Thanks to her open and friendly manner, Isabela manages to find a very special approach to people. This leads to exciting encounters that provide new insights. Whether in Germany or on international trips: Isabela is perfectly organized and arranges her travel plans to strike just the right balance between a well-filled programme and enough time to relax and process the new experiences. As a photographer, Isabela impresses with her talent for scouting suitable locations, finding the right perspective and passing on her knowledge in a pleasant and warm manner. In the fall of 2020, Isabela accompanied us on our trip to Swedish Lapland and captured this unique journey in great pictures. For me as an enthusiastic amateur photographer, it was great to be in front of the lens myself, but it was also a huge added value to have a real professional at my side. Many of the pictures of the trip were taken as a reportage from the background; Isabela knows how to integrate perfectly as part of the travel group and thus capture the "real" moments. But Isabela also came up with great ideas for motifs. The result was a great mix of pictures from the trip to Sweden.
