vA private photographic safari to the most fascinating landscapes and animals of East Africa.

Early in the morning, our off-road vehicle drives through the savannah of the Maasai Mara. The sun rises over the horizon as elephants move through the dust and a lioness disappears into the tall grass.

On this journey, we experience Africa not just as a spectacular backdrop. We observe animals, landscapes, and people with time, patience, and a photographer's eye.

I will accompany you photographically and support you in transforming these intense moments into expressive images.

A photographic safari – individually planned

This trip differs from classic group tours.

It is planned individually and takes place with as few as two participants.

Together with an experienced local partner, we plan the route and travel time so that you are traveling during the best season and under optimal photographic conditions.

Besides wildlife – elephants, lions, giraffes and antelopes – we also photograph landscapes and encounters with local cultures.

The small group size allows for intensive nature experiences, flexible daily schedules and plenty of space for photography.

Photographic level:

This trip is aimed at people who enjoy photography and want to further develop their images – regardless of their technical level.

You can participate with a camera or smartphone.

During the safari, I will support you in becoming more aware of light, movement and the right moment, and in further developing your own photographic style.

Travel alone – discover together

This trip can be requested by individuals as well as small private groups.

As soon as at least two participants have been found, we will plan a suitable date and the optimal route together.

Many guests travel alone – others come as friends, couples or families to enjoy a special photographic safari together.

The small group size creates a personal atmosphere and allows for intensive nature experiences as well as plenty of space for photography.

Upon request, this trip can also be organized as a private photographic safari for an existing group.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS (FAQ)

Here you will find answers to what many people want to know before the photo trip.

No, not at all. My tours are open to everyone - from intuitive smartphone snappers to experienced amateur photographers with full equipment. The only important thing is photography! Because in the end, we all learn from each other anyway - and that's what makes the trip unique.

What you have is enough. Whether smartphone, compact camera or DSLR - I'll show you how to get the best out of your equipment. If you're unsure, I'll be happy to advise you in advance.

Very small - usually only 4 to 6 participants. This allows me to respond to each participant individually and we remain flexible, personal and close to each other

Very relaxed and practical:
We take photos together "on the road", discuss pictures, collect ideas and I give you tips, feedback and tasks directly on location. There are also short joint sessions for image selection and post-processing

- Small groups, lots of personal support - Extraordinary destinations and encounters - Photography as expression - not just technique - Space for your own visual language and creativity

Before each trip, we meet online 1-2 times to get to know each other and coordinate our wishes. This creates a suitable concept - with the right mix of technology, storytelling, challenges and creative impulses.

I only offer 3 to 5 selected tours a year - deliberately exclusive. Because they should not only "run", but also remain special - for you and for me.

With pleasure!
Many participants travel alone - and enjoy the group, inspiration and real
connections.

My first professional trip for Brigitte magazine with Isabela as photographer only took us to Denmark, but it was still a challenge: Isabela had to spend a week in a motorhome with me, whom she didn't know, and my two daughters, who were still very young at the time, without any opportunity to retreat. It was on this trip that I got to know her wonderful human qualities: she is as uncomplicated as she is hands-on, can adapt to anyone (regardless of whether they are four or forty years old) and, above all, is a very pleasant and cheerful travel companion. We did many more travel reports together after that, Isabela was always my photographer of choice. I have always appreciated her great professionalism and how she manages to win people over with her friendly nature. At the same time, she never offends anyone and always remains respectful. And in the end, everyone had fun.

Traveling with Isabela is a great experience that we can only recommend. Thanks to her open and friendly manner, Isabela manages to find a very special approach to people. This leads to exciting encounters that provide new insights. Whether in Germany or on international trips: Isabela is perfectly organized and arranges her travel plans to strike just the right balance between a well-filled programme and enough time to relax and process the new experiences. As a photographer, Isabela impresses with her talent for scouting suitable locations, finding the right perspective and passing on her knowledge in a pleasant and warm manner. Under her guidance, even photography amateurs succeed in taking great pictures. In short: it's a pleasure to be out and about with Isabela.

In the fall of 2020, Isabela accompanied us on our trip to Swedish Lapland and captured this unique journey in great pictures. For me as an enthusiastic amateur photographer, it was great to be in front of the lens myself, but it was also a huge added value to have a real professional at my side. Many of the pictures of the trip were taken as a reportage from the background; Isabela knows how to integrate perfectly as part of the travel group and thus capture the "real" moments. But Isabela also came up with great ideas for motifs. The result was a great mix of pictures from the trip to Sweden.
