A personally guided photography tour IN VIETNAM

Early in the morning, we stand in the middle of the water among women harvesting water lilies. As they laugh and work, images emerge that cannot be planned. On this journey, we don't just photograph Vietnam from the outside. We meet people in small villages, observe artisans at work, and experience markets, landscapes, and cities with time and tranquility.
I will accompany you photographically and support you in transforming these special moments into powerful images.

This trip offers more than just beautiful scenery: you'll learn to feel the moment, work with light, and compose your subjects with purpose. In small groups, you'll receive personalized support, creative inspiration, and technical know-how – regardless of your experience level. Your eye will be sharpened, your visual language more precise. This journey will take you not only to well-known places but also to encounters that often remain hidden from ordinary travelers.
We photograph people in their daily work – harvesting water lilies, in traditional craft workshops, or at markets and in small villages.
With time, respect, and a documentary eye, images are created that tell stories.
The small group of a maximum of six participants allows for intensive work and a personal atmosphere.
Photographic level:
This trip is aimed at people who enjoy photography and want to further develop their images – regardless of their technical level.
You can participate with a camera or smartphone.
During the trip, I will support you in becoming more aware of light, composition, and the right moment, and in developing your own visual language.
More important than technology are curiosity, patience, and enjoyment of encounters with people.

My first professional trip for Brigitte magazine with Isabela as photographer only took us to Denmark, but it was still a challenge: Isabela had to spend a week in a motorhome with me, whom she didn't know, and my two daughters, who were still very young at the time, without any opportunity to retreat. It was on this trip that I got to know her wonderful human qualities: she is as uncomplicated as she is hands-on, can adapt to anyone (regardless of whether they are four or forty years old) and, above all, is a very pleasant and cheerful travel companion. We did many more travel reports together after that, Isabela was always my photographer of choice. I have always appreciated her great professionalism and how she manages to win people over with her friendly nature. At the same time, she never offends anyone and always remains respectful. And in the end, everyone had fun.

This leads to exciting encounters that provide new insights. Whether in Germany or on international trips: Isabela is perfectly organized and arranges her travel plans to strike just the right balance between a well-filled programme and enough time to relax and process the new experiences. In the fall of 2020, Isabela accompanied us on our trip to Swedish Lapland and captured this unique journey in great pictures. For me as an enthusiastic amateur photographer, it was great to be in front of the lens myself, but it was also a huge added value to have a real professional at my side. Many of the pictures of the trip were taken as a reportage from the background; Isabela knows how to integrate perfectly as part of the travel group and thus capture the "real" moments. But Isabela also came up with great ideas for motifs. The result was a great mix of pictures from the trip to Sweden.
