A photographic journey to people, colors and stories in Rajasthan
The Pushkar camel market is one of the most fascinating places in India. Traders, pilgrims, families and thousands of animals come together here from all over Rajasthan – a vibrant mosaic of colors, faces and stories.
On this journey we have time to immerse ourselves in this world: through encounters with people, quiet observation and a documentary perspective.
I will accompany you photographically and support you in transforming these intense moments into authentic images.
India – a land of contrasts
India is intense, moving, and full of life. Those who explore the country with a camera will be rewarded with colors, light, and motifs that are found nowhere else.
Our route takes us through some of the most fascinating places in North India – from the vibrant streets of Delhi to the palaces of Udaipur and the blue alleyways of Jodhpur, to the spiritual banks of the Ganges in Varanasi.
Along the way, we take photographs in markets, in quiet courtyards and in special moments of light – from the first prayer of the day to the warm light of the evening.
Encounters and stories
This trip is more than a classic photo tour.
We encounter people in their everyday lives – in markets, in workshops or at religious ceremonies.
With time, respect, and a documentary eye, images are created that tell stories.
The small group of a maximum of six participants makes it possible to work flexibly and to experience photographic situations intensively.
Photographic level:
This trip is aimed at people who enjoy photography and want to further develop their images – regardless of their technical level.
You can participate with a camera or smartphone.
During the trip, I will support you in becoming more aware of light, composition, and the right moment, and in further developing your own visual language.
More important than technology are curiosity, patience, and enjoyment of encounters with people.
Travel alone – discover together
Many participants travel alone.
The small group size quickly creates a personal and trusting atmosphere. Together we take photographs, exchange ideas, and experience the cultural diversity of India in depth.

My first professional trip for Brigitte magazine with Isabela as photographer only took us to Denmark, but it was still a challenge: Isabela had to spend a week in a motorhome with me, whom she didn't know, and my two daughters, who were still very young at the time, without any opportunity to retreat. It was on this trip that I got to know her wonderful human qualities: she is as uncomplicated as she is hands-on, can adapt to anyone (regardless of whether they are four or forty years old) and, above all, is a very pleasant and cheerful travel companion. We did many more travel reports together after that, Isabela was always my photographer of choice. I have always appreciated her great professionalism and how she manages to win people over with her friendly nature. At the same time, she never offends anyone and always remains respectful. And in the end, everyone had fun.
Traveling with Isabela is a great experience that we can only recommend. Thanks to her open and friendly manner, Isabela manages to find a very special approach to people. This leads to exciting encounters that provide new insights. Whether in Germany or on international trips: Isabela is perfectly organized and arranges her travel plans to strike just the right balance between a well-filled programme and enough time to relax and process the new experiences. As a photographer, Isabela impresses with her talent for scouting suitable locations, finding the right perspective and passing on her knowledge in a pleasant and warm manner. Under her guidance, even photography amateurs succeed in taking great pictures. In short: it's a pleasure to be out and about with Isabela.
In the fall of 2020, Isabela accompanied us on our trip to Swedish Lapland and captured this unique journey in great pictures. For me as an enthusiastic amateur photographer, it was great to be in front of the lens myself, but it was also a huge added value to have a real professional at my side. Many of the pictures of the trip were taken as a reportage from the background; Isabela knows how to integrate perfectly as part of the travel group and thus capture the "real" moments. But Isabela also came up with great ideas for motifs. The result was a great mix of pictures from the trip to Sweden.
