I am a travel and photo journalist - with over 20 years of experience and publications in
Magazines like GEO Saison, Merian, Zeit Travel and many others.
My passion? Capturing people, places and stories with the camera - documentary, up close, vivid, with emotion.
Storytelling is the focus for me.
I would like to show you how you can not only "photograph" with the camera, but also express something.
How you tell what touches you through your gaze - and develop your own visual language.
I will accompany you personally - with technical know-how, creative impulses, tasks and space to try things out.

Meine erste berufliche Reise für die Zeitschrift „Brigitte“ mit Isabela als Fotografin hat uns zwar nur nach Dänemark geführt, war aber trotzdem eine Herausforderung: Zusammen mit mir, die sie nicht kannte, und meinen beiden damals noch sehr kleinen Töchtern musste Isabela eine Woche in einem Wohnmobil verbringen, ohne jede Rückzugsmöglichkeit. Auf dieser Reise habe ich ihre wunderbaren menschlichen Qualitäten kennengelernt: Sie ist so unkompliziert wie zupackend, kann sich auf jedes Gegenüber einstellen (egal, ob es vier oder vierzig Jahre alt ist) und ist vor allem eine sehr angenehme und fröhliche Reisegenossin. Wir haben danach noch viele gemeinsame Reisereportagen gemacht, Isabela war immer meine Wunsch-Fotografin. Immer habe ich ihre große Professionalität geschätzt und wie sie es schafft, Menschen mit ihrem freundlichen Wesen für sich einzunehmen. Gleichzeitig tritt sie nie jemandem zu nahe und bleibt immer respektvoll. Und am Ende haben alle Spaß bei der Sache gehabt.

As a photographer, Isabela impresses with her talent for scouting suitable locations, finding the right perspective and passing on her knowledge in a pleasant and warm manner. Im Herbst 2020 hat uns Isabela auf unserem Trip nach Schwedisch Lappland begleitet und diese einzigartige Reise in tollen Bildern festgehalten. Für mich als begeisterter Hobbyfotograf war es zum einen klasse, auch selbst vor der Linse zu sein, zum anderen aber auch ein riesiger Mehrwert, einen echten Profi an der Seite zu haben. Viele Bilder der Reise wurden sind als Reportage aus dem Hintergrund entstanden; Isabela versteht es, als Teil der Reisegruppe perfekt zu integrieren und so die „echten“ Momente einzufangen. Aber Isabela kam auch mit tollen Ideen für Motive um die Ecke. So entstand ein toller Bilder-Mix von der Reise nach Schweden.
